Elizabeth loves meeting people and hearing their stories. Each person, team, and organization she meets have different situations and goals, therefore, each speaking engagement, coaching session or classroom training is a personalized learning experience.
Over the past 30 years, Elizabeth created, started, and led numerous businesses and managed multiple teams. Throughout the years she has been asked for advice and has helped many people, teams, and organizations learn, change and grow. This is how SLD (Strategic Leadership Development) started. She now devotes her time to serving others, listening to their situations, strategically creating plans, and properly executing them accordingly.

Elizabeth is currently in a doctorate program earning her Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago. She has earned two master's degrees, an MBA in Management from The University of Texas Permian Basin and an Executive Master of Science in Strategic Communication from Columbia University in the City of New York. Her undergrad major is Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies, Summa Cum Laude, from The University of Houston-Downtown. Elizabeth has worked as a speaker for over 30 years. Early career started as a speaker for conventions, trade shows, and professional organizations. She went to live television on a morning talk show for two years in Houston, TX, on ABC-TV, Good Morning Houston, and one year on an NBC-TV morning talk show, This Day with Katherine. Started a 2-year career competing in Miss America and Miss Universe pageants, honing her speaking, interview and presentation skills, along with polishing her on-stage and camera presence. After the modeling and pageant career ended, she became a certified image consultant and started her first business, Privately Polished. Elizabeth helped people with image, verbal and nonverbal communication, poise, and presentation on-camera, on-stage and face-to-face. Sold business to a pageant contestant she competed with in Miss Texas USA to start a few more businesses, eventually leading her back to facilitating and speaking to private and public events in a variety of venues.
Elizabeth is a subject matter expert on leadership and communication, author of seven books including Leadership Strategies for a Multigenerational Workplace, Women's Leadership Development Workbook, and The Psychology of Organizational Behavior: How to work with different personalities. She has created multiple learning programs facilitated globally online and face-to-face.
Elizabeth spends her volunteer time helping people and animals in need through multiple leadership positions with Toastmasters International, a seat on the advisory board of directors at League City Animal Shelter, and multiple professional organizations for people and animals. She attends conferences staying abreast on the latest research and findings in her career field and animal advocacy.
The thirty-plus years of professional business experience plus over ten years of academic study and research is what makes Elizabeth different from her competitors. She has been on the side of her clients, she understands and empathizes with what they are feeling, experiencing and going through.
